is looking to employ a Technical Assistant within our Retail Packing Facility at the Foyle Ingredients site based in Campsie Co Londonderry. The Technical Assistant will report directly to the Technical Manager and will be part of a busy Technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding food safety and quality procedures. Hours of operation for the role are generally between 6am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday, with occasional cover required for Saturday operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Monitoring and verification of quality control checks ensuring compliance with customer specifications. Carrying out GMP audits against Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures. Manage and collate customer complaint trend analysis and corrective actions. Coordinate actions for non-conformances with relevant teams to effectively implement corrective and preventative actions. Training of operatives in relation to food safety and quality requirements. Assisting with external audits. Complete designated tasks as defined in the quality management and HACCP system. Essential Criteria:

Food Related Qualification or proven related experience. Knowledge of HACCP principles. IT Literate. Excellent organisation and communication skills. Competent in record keeping. Motivated with ability to work on own initiative. Ability to work in a pressurised environment, with a can-do attitude and commitment to safety. Flexibility towards working hours. Desirable Criteria:

Previous experience working in a food processing or retail-packing environment. Previous experience or working knowledge of red meat products. Experience of BRC and/or Retailer audits.
