Main duties of the job
To rotate across acute and community services, to include experience in acute medical wards, surgical wards, Community adult services including opportunity to learn in HEF, domiciliary caseloads, nursing homes and residential homes, GP clinics, group and individual interventions. To undertake assessment of patients with a wide range of conditions and to work as autonomous clinicians, under the guidance of Clinical Specialist Dietitians as required, using accurate analytical skills and clinical reasoning to interpret assessment findings, making diagnoses where appropriate, identifying patient problems, setting goals, and providing an appropriate treatment plan and progression. To supervise and train junior staff and to work as part of the multidisciplinary team. To take part in CPD and other departmental activities. To contribute to and lead on Quality Improvement Projects. To be flexible at times of increased capacity to the service.
