University Hospitals Dorset is newly formed by a merger of Poole Hospital and Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals partnered with Bournemouth University. RBH is the designated major acute and emergency hospital in Dorset housing the Eye Centre where the posts are mainly based, and Poole Hospital is the major planned care hospital. You will be applying to join a team of 13 consultants covering all subspecialties, 3 associate specialists, 4 Trust grade doctors, and 6 Wessex Deanery specialist registrars. Participation in the 1 in 8 second on-call rota is essential. Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Ophthalmologist within the general ophthalmology service. It will involve general ophthalmology, emergency, and medical retinal clinics. It will involve some intravitreal injections and access to cataract surgery training if appropriate.
