Senior Data Analyst
with Business Reporting skills from areas like Finance, HR, and Business Development. Our client is a market-leading AI-driven SaaS solutions vendor, and this role will be a permanent full-time position working directly with them. This can be a fully remote position based in the UK, but you will need to be able to travel to meetings in Belgium. The tech stack you will work with includes an Enterprise Data Warehouse built using the Kimball Methodology in Azure SQL databases (production and staging), a fully developed BI solution in Power BI with over 50 reports, and multiple Alteryx reports for data blending and data quality purposes. Senior Data Analyst
is a key contributor to the organization's data-driven strategies, leveraging advanced expertise in Power BI to deliver impactful insights. This role involves gathering and analyzing stakeholder requirements to design and implement tailored dashboards and reports that empower decision-making across departments. A deep understanding of the Enterprise Data Warehouse and API documentation for sourcing, modeling, and validating data to ensure accuracy and usability is essential. Collaborating closely with Data Engineers, the Senior Data Analyst will facilitate data preparation and integration, laying the foundation for robust Power BI solutions that support both strategic objectives and operational excellence. Stakeholder Engagement : Act as a liaison to gather, understand, and prioritize data requirements from various departments. Data Preparation : Partner with Data Engineers to interpret API documentation and ensure seamless data integration and availability for report building. Strategic Impact : Deliver actionable insights that drive organizational performance and inform decision-making processes. REQUIREMENTS:
Strong experience
in a data analysis role, with a strong background in business intelligence, data visualization, and reporting, specifically within a SaaS or similar industry. Advanced Proficiency in Power BI , including hands-on experience with Power Query and DAX to design complex reports, dashboards, and data models. Understanding of Kimball Methodology : Strong knowledge of the Kimball methodology for data warehousing and dimensional modeling, with experience applying these concepts to design scalable and effective data models. Familiarity with Enterprise Data Warehouses : Experience working with enterprise-level data warehouses, including designing, extracting, and transforming data to support BI tools and reporting. Collaboration and Communication : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across teams, including Data Engineers, business stakeholders, and leadership. Ability to explain complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting : Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, system issues, and reporting challenges swiftly. Project Management : Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with attention to deadlines and high-quality outputs.
