The Head of Area Sales will lead the acquisition, growth, and management of our regional accounts for new, used, and rental lines of business. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, developing strategic account plans, and delivering exceptional customer experiences within a specified geographic area. Key Responsibilities: Lead the regional sales team, fostering a culture of data-driven sales management and accountability. Develop and execute a comprehensive regional sales plan aligned with our go-to-market strategies. Manage the performance of used, rental, and technology solutions to ensure a balanced portfolio. Provide full people leadership, including health, safety, talent development, and inclusion & diversity. Achieve all performance targets, including market share, sales excellence, and customer experience. Collaborate closely with Caterpillar and other key stakeholders to maintain strong relationships. Accurately forecast revenue and deliveries, ensuring outcomes match forecasts. Maintain relationships with high-profile and strategically important customers. Regularly communicate industry knowledge and insights to senior leaders. Drive new product introductions and match opportunities to high-potential customers. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Relevant experience in the heavy equipment industry in sales or operations. Experience in a sales leadership position. Knowledge of customers and competitors within the regional business. Awareness of Caterpillar or distribution organizations. Strategic planning and execution. Strong commercial acumen and customer-facing skills. Understanding of marketing programs and logistics. Industry knowledge across extraction, waste, and civil engineering segments. Preferably degree-level qualification or equivalent.
