Our Financial Services Business Risk Services practice focuses on helping organisations manage risk, improve operational processes and realise strategic objectives. Our team brings together a range of skills and experience across sector specialisms. Our Financial Services Business Risk Services (FS BRS) team provides clients with support on their internal audit functions, through the provision of tailored, flexible and cost-effective solutions, that provide access to industry best practice methodology, value add insights and subject matter experts.

A look into the role

As an Associate Director of Change Assurance within our Financial Services Business Risk Services (FS BRS) team you will: Lead the delivery of assurance engagements across our outsourced financial services internal audit client portfolio and other change assurance engagements. Co-ordinate and manage the portfolio with the Financial Services Internal Audit Directors, in line with changing client requirements. Own the development of third line internal audit proposition and client change assurance relationships. This will require time spent working in our London offices. Be responsible for engagement quality and risk management. Lead proposals and business development activities to grow revenues for change assurance and related propositions for Financial Services Business Risk Services and across the Grant Thornton Financial Services Group (FSG). Support the Change Assurance Director to develop the practice, broader propositions and team capability across all industries. Joining us as an Associate Director Change Assurance within FS BRS, the

minimum criteria

you'll need is experience in a technology change delivery or change assurance leadership role, with an understanding of waterfall and agile software development lifecycles and governance. You will also need prior experience of working in a Professional Services or In-House assurance environment and be able to demonstrate how you have delivered and developed assurance propositions and a book of work, as well as internal audit experience.

It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don't worry if you don't tick every box, we'll help you develop along the way.

An understanding of professional services ways of working, including metrics and indicators used to measure practice performance. Management and delivery of a portfolio of assurance engagements. Business development and client relationship building, including presenting to client and third-party audiences. An innovative approach to providing assurance using technology to drive efficiencies and quality. People management and the ability to develop the skills of team members. Knowing we're right for you
