Quality Assurance Lead Edinburgh Paying up to £34p/h (Umbrella) Responsibilities: Support in driving objectives to meet targets including LPS/KPI goals, QL4 effectiveness, supplier and customer timely RCCA. Contribute to IPT requirement to deliver a compliant product in a timely manner meeting all cost and safety requirements. Support creation of Quality Plans defining quality assurance activities aligned to Risk, Opportunity and Improvement. Provide leadership to the Assurance Teams in order to meet Programme and IPT objectives. Actively ensure LPS goals for Quality KPIs including QNs, MRB, FRBs etc are achieved by supporting improvement plans and active management of key activity. Lead the Assurance function’s improvement plans across all phases. Attend and contribute to key meetings including (but not limited to) IPT morning meetings, DPU forums, Engineering WO meetings etc. Take leadership in ensuring concessions / production permits, IDN requests, CoC signoffs, Receiver requests, CoAs are processed correctly. Support achievement of quality assurance milestones within the Programme, Product and Project lifecycle. Ensure delivery of reports and supporting data to the Programme, Project and function in a timely manner. Actively manage root cause and corrective action investigations. Experience required: Further education and experience ideally in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or experience in Defence Electronics or similarly 'complex' industry. Be able to demonstrate knowledge within the areas of AS9100 / ISO9001 and Continuous improvement. Experience of Quality Tools such as Root Cause Corrective Action, Pattern Fault Lifecycle, Process Mapping, Verification and First Article Inspection. Be a logical thinker, capable of harvesting complex data into actions with practical solutions that supports business goals, in 'the language of the business'. Have good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style across all functions of the business. Have experience in working with Customers and Suppliers. Have experience working in a manufacturing environment.
