As an Economist, you will play a critical role in providing insights and analysis to support our carbon markets business. You will be responsible for understanding and interpreting market trends, calibrating model inputs, and generating and communicating high-quality client-facing outputs. Your analytical skills will be instrumental in delivering best-in-class analytical outputs to carbon market participants across the ecosystem. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Monitor and analyse carbon market trends, regulations, and policy developments. Calibrate model inputs based on evolving market conditions and priorities. Generate high-quality client-facing reports and presentations. Collaborate with modelling teams to ensure model accuracy and relevance. Conduct in-depth analysis of market data to identify opportunities and risks. Support business development activities by providing market insights and expertise. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Proven ability to analyse complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions using Excel-based modelling. Experience in creating clear and concise reports and presentations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of sustainability topics such as carbon markets and energy decarbonisation pathways is highly desirable. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software a bonus (e.g., Excel, R, Python). A self-starter with strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
