It is an exciting time to join Nomad Foods. Due to the high growth of the business, Nomad Foods has a desire to become more data driven. Reporting into the Data & Analytics Director, you will be focused on the data engineering part to manage our data across our SAP estate and the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to enable accurate and timely reporting and insight across Nomad Foods. You will have strong skills in SAP Datasphere to ensure we are using this technology to its limits and would have had hands-on experience of developing BW/4HANA. You will need to learn and understand GCP and the environment we have in place so that we are getting the best out of SAP and GCP working together. You will lead on the gathering of requirements for any additions or changes needed to data requirements ensuring that the solution fits in with the agreed way the Central Data Team wants data and reporting solution to be. To deliver certain projects and pieces of work, this role is required to build effective relationships with key contacts in Nomad Foods and 3rd parties so that the team can be augmented to ensure smooth delivery. Responsibilities
Working in the team to ensure the right solution is in place using the technology the right way including SAP Datasphere, SAP BW, and the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Partnering with the IT Service Partner to develop an Enterprise Data Platform to provide a single version of truth and ensuring minimal movement of data Ensuring best data sources (internal & external) are used along with having the most efficient data pipelines in place Designing data models that support reporting and analytical needs Identifying any data sources that could be useful when doing reporting and insight Working closely with the Revenue Growth Management Team and Commercial Insight Team and any other areas doing reporting and insight Leading the team in the absence of the Head of Reporting & Data Engineering Working with the Data Governance & Master Data Team to highlight any data concerns such as with exporting of data, data quality, using wrong definitions, security, etc. Working with the IT Service Partner to ensure that all data production runs complete successfully, and any issues are dealt with the right priority set and suitable communication to the business provided Leading the work with the IT Service Partner to ensure that the Data Model is delivering the data required by the business Optimising data structures for performance Developing and maintaining development standards in conjunction with the IT Service Partner Leading the testing of any new or changed data items Identifying and testing any upgrades to software Qualifications
Essential At least 3 years’ experience working in a Data Engineering team or equivalent Strong knowledge of SAP Datasphere including data modelling SAP Reporting suite including BW and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Strong Stakeholder Management skills Strong presentation skills Excellent numerical and analytical skills Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Excellent knowledge of data modelling, including various schemas and their use cases Strong knowledge of SQL Service delivery and improvement mind set Able to work as part of a small team from a remote location Proactive, works with a sense of urgency, creative about how issues can be resolved, able to think analytically Works collaboratively, constructively challenges, gets key stakeholders “on side”, delivers results through others Problem solving: able to get to the heart of problem and its resolution by asking the right questions and ensuring the right options are explored and followed through to completion Strong attention to detail Desirable Experience of working with third party delivery organisations Experience of managing a data lake/data warehouse Hands on experience of building analytics in SAP BW/4HANA Experience of working with various SAP systems, such as ECC, S/4HANA, C4C, SuccessFactors, etc. as sources for analytics platforms FMCG / CPG experience Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
