We are recruiting for a dynamic and innovative organisation that plays a crucial role in the UK's national security and defence technology landscape. About the Role

As a Control and Instrumentation Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge systems that ensure the reliability and efficiency of critical defence projects. You'll work within a multidisciplinary team, tackling unique challenges and delivering solutions that have a tangible impact on national security. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop control systems for the defence industry. Integrate instrumentation systems to meet project specifications and operational requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, including MOD guidelines. Conduct fault-finding, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to enhance system performance. Produce technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and user manuals. About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need a combination of technical expertise and a passion for solving complex problems. Experience in defence or similarly regulated industries is highly advantageous. Essential Skills and Experience: Degree in Control & Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Proficiency in designing and implementing control systems (e.g., PLCs, SCADA, DCS). Experience with instrumentation selection, configuration, and integration. Strong understanding of safety-critical and secure systems. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Desirable Skills: Previous experience working in a highly regulated/safety critical industry. Strong knowledge with Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley, or similar. What We Offer
