The post holder will be responsible for leading inpatient care services, working in conjunction with therapy, non-clinical, and corporate service leads to ensure that we provide the very highest staff and patient experience, supporting best clinical outcomes.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead the day-to-day operation of the inpatient nursing services within the hospital, taking overall responsibility for the line management of nursing staff and the provision of high-quality services. They will be responsible for providing professional leadership and support to the MDT, bringing expertise in theory and practice to the ward and demonstrating compassion and inclusivity with a collaborative approach.

Training and Qualifications
Essential
Professional clinical qualification/NMC Evidence of CPD and completion of portfolio. Knowledge and expertise through a combination of in-depth experience and postgraduate study.
Experience
Essential
Substantial postgraduate experience. Substantial line management and supervision experience. Recent experience of community working. Use of evidence-based practice. Sound knowledge of the roles within a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge and Skills

Highly developed leadership skills. Ability to triage referrals. Knowledge of skills and roles of other professionals. Ability to delegate tasks to appropriate professionals/team members.
