Overview of the role The role involves leading and managing a team to deliver efficient and effective planning enforcement services while meeting performance targets. It requires making delegated decisions on enforcement matters, including environmental and development issues, in line with local and national policies. Responsibilities and Duties Lead, manage, and motivate a team to meet performance targets and deliver results. Make delegated decisions on planning enforcement for various development and environmental matters, including conservation areas, green belt land, and listed buildings. Ensure the Planning Enforcement Team supports environmental improvement and regeneration in line with local and national planning policies, including the Local Development Framework and the Mayor’s London Plan. Oversee the Pollution Control and Planning Enforcement team to provide efficient, effective, and value-for-money services, implementing flexible and effective enforcement strategies.
