Key Responsibilities: Ensure Food Safety Training is up to date and work with the Learning & Development Team to ensure this is trained out to team members. Work with relevant departments on retail/marketing-based initiatives/activities to ensure they are food safe. Ensure that significant customer complaints are managed centrally, investigated appropriately, with root cause identified, all within deadlines. Manage food safety incidents, including the review of CCTV, to ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented. Implement and provide feedback on food safety changes and initiatives. Contribute to Retail HACCP teams; reviewing, updating and maintaining HACCP systems and procedures. Collect, trend and communicate KPI data to schedule. Lead and contribute to the management and development of food safety and quality management systems. Liaise with the Regional Technical Managers and Retail teams to ensure customer complaints are handled and completed correctly. Take responsibility for raising the standards of hygiene and microbiological performance by providing in-shop support. Liaise with Local Authority representatives to provide problem resolution. Investigate and monitor food safety non-compliance and incidents. About You: We are looking for individuals who are driven and can demonstrate: A Degree or HNC level education in a Food Science based subject. HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3 qualifications. Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience working in a technical based food safety role in a production or retail background. Proven experience in investigations and internal audits with strong attention to detail. Proven experience of leadership, decision making, and report writing. A result-focused approach with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others.
