If you are enthusiastic about providing a customer-focused service in a busy university library, we have an excellent opportunity for you. We are seeking a Weekend Library Supervisor to lead a team of library assistants and attendants providing high quality frontline services at the University Library during Saturday daytimes and Friday evenings. Key responsibilities: Providing responses to user enquiries. Ensuring efficient and speedy circulation of stock. Monitoring safety and security for all those in the Library during these staffed service hours. You will have: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for team working, staff supervision and customer care. Experience of library management systems, particularly for managing circulation of materials, and good IT skills. Experience of working in a library and dealing with library users. A flexible approach and the ability to work independently without close supervision and to take appropriate initiative when necessary. Education to A level standard or equivalent.
