Quantity Surveyor West Midlands (Apply online only) day rate Sellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of an exciting new role of Quantity Surveyor for a large and ever-expanding social housing organisation based in the West Midlands. The Quantity Surveyor will ensure the effective management of all aspects of pre and post contract quantity surveying with particular emphasis on the cost management of new build housing developments. The Quantity Surveyor will also ensure where required that developments undertaken by the organisation are effectively prioritised, financially and technically planned, managed and monitored. Duties of the Quantity Surveyor:

Work with the Head of Commercial and Commercial Manager in the financial aspects of the Business Growth programme. Ensure they are informed of all financial issues affecting the organisation. Apply a commercial approach to project delivery in terms of projected and outturn costs and profit. Contribute towards the effective delivery and control of all aspects of pre and post contract quantity surveying responsibilities relating to new build housing and mixed-use developments. Produce accurate monthly CVR cost reports in relation to the organisation's Business Growth programme and all other development projects. Establish, monitor and control effective procedures to ensure effective and accurate financial control and reportage of projects from inception to completion. Particular focus to understand the overall financial appraisal for designated schemes, providing the relevant data for input on a monthly basis. Manage sub-contract accounts, ensuring timely and accurate assessments of applications including payment and pay less notices working toward final account agreements. Develop an understanding of the designated project in areas such as contract, specification and pricing ensuring compliance with conditions throughout. Monitor risk and opportunity schedules, managing risk from commencement to completion. Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor:

Full UK driver's licence. Demonstrable experience in the role of a Quantity Surveyor. Working knowledge and awareness of new build housing procurement and construction.
