You will be responsible for monitoring the waste and recycling collections and street cleansing performance and working with the contractors to improve services where required. Objective of Role

We are looking for a Waste and Street Cleansing Contract Officer to join the Waste and Street Cleansing team in Wandsworth. You will be a motivated person who strives to make a positive difference in waste and recycling and street cleansing services. You will have proven contract monitoring skills and experience of dealing with contractors and supporting the procurement of related services. You will be comfortable speaking directly with residents, council members, external and local bodies and politicians. You will approach each situation in a calm way, while evaluating the best approach. You will understand the balance between service delivery and the achievement of positive outcomes. Be responsible for waste and recycling and street cleansing contract in Wandsworth. You will be required to support the delivery of ambitious plans to improve services for residents. Develop and maintain good working relationships with contractors and stakeholders to ensure that waste and street services provided are in accordance with the contractual agreements and specifications. Maintain regular and close liaison with the Inspection and Enforcement team for seeking assistance and support with inspections and monitoring. Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Contract Management:

Experience in contract performance monitoring. Awareness of Waste Management:

Knowledge of local authority waste and recycling management standards and procedures. Customer Service:

Experience of working with contractors, customers, and stakeholders to improve service outcomes. Self-reliant:

Ability to effectively resolve problems and answer queries and complaints at all levels. Travel:
