Develop & implement a comprehensive sales & marketing strategy, to drive revenue growth & overall market share, within a highly competitive industry. Manage & inspire the sales team, promoting a culture of excellence & continuous improvement. Complete many of the marketing tasks yourself (digital & traditional experience). Minimise the use of external marketing agencies, bringing marketing mostly in-house. Identify new markets / targets & current / future business opportunities, aligning the solutions with customer needs & market demands (technical consultative sales). Build & maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners & stakeholders. Ensure effective onsite surveys, scope of works to be carried out & correct margins. Successfully manage the sales & marketing budget, forecasts & overall performance metrics, ensuring full alignment with the set business goals / targets. Commercial lead with a strong understanding of the client's contractual terms, identifying where contract amendments & renewals are required. Ensure the CRM is used to its full potential & that information is correct, to ensure accurate market intel & supporting effective sales activities using the data. Further develop the sales & marketing teams, to ensure the best possible results in both of these key operational areas. Ensuring the team is up to speed with the market. Key Attributes:
Proven experience in a senior sales & marketing role, ideally at Head of Sales & Marketing, Sales & Marketing Director, Sales & Marketing Manager or similar level. Experience within the construction industry, warehousing, racking systems, modular buildings, house building, portable cabins, mobile homes, facades or similar. Experience in influencing effective sales & marketing at all levels, plus highly comfortable with developing high-level relationships e.g. board level industry, senior service personnel & governing bodies. Ideally from a technical solution selling profession. Track record of shaping and delivering client-focused technical solutions based on unique customer needs for strategic projects & deals (various values / spend levels). Demonstrable achievements within a challenging combined sales & marketing focused role. Significant experience negotiating commercial contract terms (rental & sales). Strong leadership & the ability to lead high-performing teams. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop & execute technical solution sales & effective multi-channel marketing plans, to increase market exposure & market share. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage & influence stakeholders at all levels as a key part of the company's senior management team.
