About the role As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a School Facilities Operative to join our close-knit team at Armley Grange, part of Options Autism. Who we are looking for We are looking for a School Facilities Operative who has a suitable qualification (or provide evidence of experience) of one of the following trades - carpentry, plumbing, decorating. Someone who is ICT literate for updating systems, able to priorities tasks anticipate and reduce risk where possible and an effective communicator. Ideally, someone who is IOSH trained, has a current first aid certificate and experience of COSHH, PAT testing, asbestos awareness and working at heights but this is not essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to solve problems independently, with a high degree of accuracy working in accordance with the health and safety policies and procedures of the group. We are looking for someone that is able to deal with emergencies and problems in a positive and a systematic manner, work independently and as part of a team, has a willingness to undertake additional training and understand and is able to apply health & safety procedures relevant to the job. Essential:

Previous experience in a similar role Knowledge of current building regulations Knowledge of current Health & Safety policies & procedures Excellent time-management skills Able to work as part of a team or independently Able to respond to emergency situations in a calm and rationale manner Driving Licence
