No The interface between intrusion architectures and fluid systems Overview & Research Questions

Critical metal deposits form as a consequence of hydrothermal fluid flow within the broader architecture of large igneous intrusions. Understanding the mechanisms of fluid concentration and transport within pluton shear zones remains a major barrier to predicting the extension of known deposits and identifying new resource targets. The proposed work tests the idea that modern rock fabric analysis can effectively map out the relationship between alteration and hydrothermal fluid flow in cooling plutonic rocks. This study will use modern rock fabric analysis, hyperspectral reflectance, and isotope geochemistry to trace fluid transport dynamics and associated alteration across the Pribrezhniy Cu-Mo porphyry deposit at Pribrezhniy, Kazakhstan. The aim of the study is to identify micro-to-meso-scale structural controls that direct hydrothermal fluid flow. Criteria for All DC Positions
