As the Data Quality & Management Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and trustworthiness of Affinity Water’s data across systems and platforms. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to define data quality standards and implement infrastructure to monitor and report data quality metrics. You’ll lead the continuous improvement of our data pipelines, enabling data-driven decisions across the business.

Data Quality & Management Lead

to join our Data Strategy and Operations Team. Key Responsibilities: Support the Data Protection and Cyber Security teams in rolling out an enterprise-wide data governance framework. Ensure compliance with Affinity Water’s policies and standards using data tools and architecture. Lead efforts to map data flows, ensuring data lineage and integrity are maintained in solutions. Support data management assurance to ensure data is only retained as long as necessary. Work closely with various stakeholders to understand data needs and facilitate data access. Liaise with the cyber security team to manage unstructured data and report over-retained data. Conduct risk assessments of key information assets and data flow processes, prioritising remediation plans. Develop and implement a comprehensive data quality reporting framework. Perform detailed analyses to assess data quality issues and trends, recommending actions to drive business benefits. Lead company-wide training initiatives to improve awareness of data quality standards. Select, implement, and manage data quality tools and technologies, ensuring their alignment with the organisation’s data architecture. Facilitate the development of data quality standards and reporting frameworks to ensure reliable, trustworthy data. What You’ll Need: Industry experience in implementing data quality and data management frameworks (e.g., DCAM/DAMA). Knowledge of data discovery and classification solutions for information management purposes. Expertise in business intelligence reporting solutions, especially for building data quality dashboards. Strong understanding of data analysis techniques and practical SQL skills. Experience with business intelligence tooling (preferably QlikSense) for building data quality reports. Knowledge of data management tools, databases, and governance frameworks. Familiarity with SQL, data visualisation tools (preferably QlikSense), and other data quality management software. Personal Skills: Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills. Ability to articulate how data quality integrates into data governance frameworks. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive data quality initiatives across teams. Robust project and change management experience, with a focus on delivering iterative or incremental value. A naturally inquisitive mindset, with the ability to investigate data and process nuances, identify root causes, and drive solutions with both business and technology stakeholders. Why Join Us?
