Senior Building Surveyor Job Type: Temporary Location: Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall area Salary: £25.30 per hour PAYE Contract Length: 3 months We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join a Housing Association on a temporary basis. This role offers the chance to lead, inspire, and support a team of Building Surveyors, delivering high-quality solutions for housing maintenance and development. Day to Day of the Role: Guide and develop a team of Regional Building Surveyors to address complex repairs. Manage and resolve challenging projects, ensuring customer satisfaction and value for money. Collaborate with contractors, clients, and in-house teams to maintain housing stock to the highest standards. Ensure health and safety compliance across all projects, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence. Required Skills & Qualifications: Extensive experience in domestic dwelling management from a technical perspective. Strong knowledge of building diagnosis and fault-finding. In-depth understanding of health and safety legislation related to housing management and the construction industry, including CDM regulations. Experience in letting and project management of contracts and service providers, including developing formal specifications, contracts, and technical information. Proven building surveying experience. Previous experience at a similar level within an RSL, local or public authority, or private practice, involved in asset management and surveying. Management Qualification (ILM / CIH or equivalent) (Desirable). Health & Safety Certification (SMSTS / IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent). Level 4 or 5 Qualification in a construction-related field (HNC/HND or equivalent). Professional membership of MCIOB or RICS (Desirable). To apply for the
