Our client is looking for a Senior Management Accountant on a contract basis.

On-site 4 days p/w @ One Southwark Bridge Road, London, SE1 9HL Responsibilities:
Month end process/Quarter/Year end & variance analysis. Prepare monthly Management Accounts reconciled to the Trial Balance. Provide Monthly variance analysis by comparing to Budget/Forecast/Prior Year with a detailed commentary, reviewed by the Financial Controller. Calculation of accruals & deferrals of income, costs and inter-company, using IFRS principles. Prepare and post journals accordingly. Upload monthly schedules into Cartesis/SAP BFC ensuring all figures are correct and supported by sufficient documents. Run monthly Management Packs for the Managing Partner and Business Directors. Ensure compliance with ICFR (Internal Control Financial Reporting) company policies and SOX requirements, maintaining attention to detail. Assist with the SOX and year-end audit by providing all relevant information to the auditors, including client audits throughout the financial year. Liaise with the Commercial Finance team and Finance Plus to resolve any reporting queries and action any queries post month end. Ad hoc projects as directed by Financial Controller/Head of Commercial Finance. Monthly & quarterly balance sheet reconciliations to audit standard, ensuring all salary control accounts are reconciled monthly and reporting headcount to gross salaries on a monthly basis. Continuously reviewing current processes and making improvements to enhance control or efficiency in the department. Business partnering through engagement with business on a regular basis. Adding value to operational teams through analysis and reporting. Qualifications:
Fully qualified accountant or equivalent (e.g., CIMA, ACA, ACCA). Ability to work independently as well as part of a core London Reporting Team. Intermediate/advanced level of Excel. Quick to learn and adaptable to changing work allocation, able to prioritize workload to meet challenging deadlines. Organized with excellent attention to detail. Strong analytical and reconciliation skills. Strong communication & relationship building skills in both Finance Team and the EssenceMediaCom business.
