At Cheval Starbocs we are a leading haulage company specialising in delivering exceptional logistics and transportation services. We are currently seeking a highly organised and dynamic Transport Planner to join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our growing fleet. Position Overview: As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for managing the daily logistics of our haulage operations. This is a critical role that requires effective communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You will work closely with customers, drivers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery operations and optimal fleet efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Customer Liaison:

Communicate with customers to organise and schedule loads, ensuring delivery requirements are met. Load Planning:

Identify and secure return loads to maximise fleet utilisation and minimise empty running. Cost Monitoring:

Monitor transport costs and negotiate contracts with carriers. Driver Management:

Coordinate with drivers, providing them with clear instructions and support throughout their journeys. Fleet Maintenance:

Ensure that vehicle and trailer maintenance inspections are all met and on time according to the plan provided. Subcontractor Coordination:

Manage excess loads by coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Requirements: Proven experience in transport planning or logistics. Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Familiarity with haulage operations and regulations.
