Job description - the role As a Procurement Analyst you will be supporting the projects to achieve the business objectives and benefits, interacting with a wide scope of stakeholders across the group and various functions. This is a fast-paced dynamic programme, and we are looking for capable analysts with procurement experience. As a Procurement Analyst you will be responsible for: Supporting our contract excellence workstream, providing detailed analysis of supplier contracts, applying a series of levers and methods to identify contractual opportunities from both a cost leakage and cost reduction perspective. This may also help us address wider issues such as challenging headwinds and price increases as well as contracts which are up for negotiation or transfer to new suppliers. Gathering and assessing contract data such as should cost, CCW etc. to support analysis and rationale. This should develop further analysis as well as utilising open-source data and information to populate content for negotiation. Creating supplier negotiation "fact packs", collating the analysis assessments into a series of information packs to enable buyers and GCMs to engage with suppliers. Communicating and collaborating with procurement and supply chain teams (i.e. buyers) to progress and execute Third Party Spend opportunities. Working with the team and sponsors to develop the methodologies to sustain future contract analysis and progress, i.e., training/coaching others. This may involve the creation of training material, communication material and working with the PM to demonstrate performance and case studies of contract excellence achievements. What we require from the candidate: Experience working in procurement or supplier-facing roles previously. Experience of data analysis, providing hypothesis and financial opportunities. You will have strong interpersonal and people management skills and be confident to talk to a wide range of stakeholders at various levels, functions, and areas of the business. Can work at pace with a level of pragmatism and tenacity. Transformational mindset, willing to look at alternative approaches and different ways of working, which may challenge the norms and context of today. Insatiable curiosity and happy to spend time reading and scrutinising contracts and data to draw conclusions for opportunities.
