Systems Group Leader Kent - Onsite Monday to Thursday, flex on Fridays £55,000 - £70,000 *** Due to the nature of the role and the industry you will be working in, you will be required to achieve UK SC clearance at a higher enhanced level *** We are seeking

experienced and dynamic Systems or Software Team Leaders

to lead and innovate within a leading global Defence and Aerospace company. This is your chance to make a significant impact by coordinating and strategizing the execution of Systems engineering in Support and Industrialisation (S&I) or Systems/Software engineering in Airborne Controls Product Realisation Groups (PRG). Day to day you will need to have an understanding of: Top level packages of work, size and time phasing across the teams within the PRG, how these contribute to critical path and/or milestones Team sizes and skillset required across the PRGs Major dependencies or facilities required across the PRGs You will be responsible for: Contributing in strategic project meetings and facilitating implementation of initiatives Giving regular status and recommendations on the resourcing requirements to the project and the Functional Manager Supporting the projects by creating new estimates for bids and maintaining the schedule and budget for ongoing projects Supporting the team members with their career development in conjunction with the Functional Manager Experience we are looking for: Leading a Systems or Software team in relevant product markets and/or domains, such as control systems, real time displays or other safety related systems Managing projects to tight schedules and budgets Requirements management, design analyses, modelling and simulation, writing and reviewing code and using tools such as DOORS, Siemens Polarion, Enterprise Architect, CAMEO, MATLAB and/or Simulink A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant Scientific/Engineering subject (e.g. Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics or Mathematics) Integration, test, and/or verification of real time and/or safety related systems Experience with coding languages such as C/C++ and Python Customer and/or supplier liaison experience for technical aspects, verifying and obtaining agreement that customer needs are satisfied An understanding of information assurance, cyber security and environmental impact aspects relating to real time embedded engineering products
