The purpose of this role is to provide a warm, friendly and efficient Night Management service to our guests, ensuring exceptional service standards are always delivered and maintained in line with our guest expectations and ensuring the safety of the hotel/guests during the night. About the role Representing the Senior Management team and take ownership/responsibility when dealing with complaints and guest requests. Ensure running a smooth Front of House operations and be the ‘go to’ person for FOH teams in absence of their HODs. Record/Follow up guest log entries that occurred in the hotel and follow up with the Front of House/Senior Management team if necessary. Maintain a strong working relationship with all departments to support property operations and goals. Report any accident, incident, theft for both internal and external guests, and liaise with Operations Manager. Check current day arrivals and departures, taking appropriate action in the event of fully booked situations. Maintain high visibility in public areas during peak times and perform Front Desk duties in high demand times. Complete knowledge of all features and services (including Food & Beverage outlets, menu/price/promotions/hours). Fully conversant with all hotel room types, numbers, layout, locations, rates. Conduct regular inspection tours of the entire facility for appearance, safety, staffing, security, and maintenance. Understand and can implement all emergency plans including accident, death, elevator, thefts, vicious crimes, bombs, fire, etc. Fully conversant with special packages, short and long-term promotions (hotel, outlets, spa). Liaise with Housekeeping and maintenance as required for Out Of Service/Order rooms. Ensure accuracy of input into reservation/front desk systems, and content/legibility of registration cards. Ensure all necessary supplies are available for the Front of House in order to work efficiently and oversee ordering/completion of Purchase Orders in line with hotel policies and procedures. Assist responding to all issues/feedback raised in internal and external reports, including TripAdvisor reports, if required and liaise with Front of House and hotel management as appropriate. Undertake and complete any special projects, tasks or other reasonable requests by Front of House and/or Operations Manager. Ensure guest privacy and security, respecting confidential information. Ensure all guest special requests are followed through and administrated. Complete a full night audit through the PMS system. Reconcile all banking for that day and update Finance.
