We're looking for a Head of Financial Operations to join our Central Treasury team and drive excellence in financial operations, mentoring a talented team, and ensuring top-tier client service.

The Role

As the Head of Financial Operations, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing financial processes. You'll be at the forefront of leading a skilled team, optimizing systems, and collaborating with leadership to meet strategic objectives. Your mission? To uphold the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and service across a broad range of bookkeeping and payroll functions.

What You'll Be Doing

Acting as a champion for client service excellence within the department. Leading, supporting, and mentoring a dynamic team, including performance management, appraisals, and recruitment. Preparing and analysing weekly KPI statistics to inform departmental strategy. Overseeing critical processes, including payment run approvals, bank reconciliations, compliance logs, direct debit collections, payroll, and fee management. Managing team workflows, task assignments, and holiday cover to ensure smooth operations. Preparing and submitting and conducting systems audits. Leading training initiatives to ensure the team and wider business are proficient in systems and processes. Supporting and resolving complex client queries with a hands-on approach.

What We're Looking For

Leadership:

A proven track record of managing and inspiring medium-sized teams. Experience:

Senior bookkeeping and payroll expertise, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Technical Skills:

Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong attention to detail. Personality:

Approachable, trustworthy, client-focused, and organized.

Qualifications

Studying towards ACCA or equivalent (or recently qualified).
