GMP Recruitment are proud to be in partnership with a highly successful manufacturing company located in Worcester, who build world leading testing equipment and facilities. We are currently supporting their recruitment for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join their Worcester based site.
This position is working Monday - Friday, with a salary on offer up to £40,000 pending experience.
As Technical Sales Engineer, you will manage the development of fully costed quotations and technical proposals. You will have a strong ability to develop both commercial and technical relationships with new and existing clients as the position will involve the identification of new clients and the generation of new leads and opportunities.
Technical Sales Engineer main duties:
Develop a deep understanding of the company's products or services and stay updated on industry trends. Compile costs for standard products. Collaborate with the teams internally to understand customer requirements and propose appropriate solutions. Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Service, Projects and Production, to ensure a cohesive approach to customer engagement. Work closely with Engineering and Standard Product departments to ensure that the technical database is kept up to date. Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, quotes, and responses to RFQs (Request for Quotations). Although you will be based out of the head office, you may be required to travel throughout the UK and potentially travel overseas.
Technical Sales Engineer required skills and experience:
Previous technical sales experience in a similar role. Technically minded with a solution-driven work ethic. An automotive background would be an advantage but not essential. Commercially aware. Excellent communication skills both verbal & written. Strong working knowledge of MS software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and industry standard CRM packages.
