An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced speech and language therapist to join a well-established team within the Northern Care Alliance in Fairfield. You will be delivering a service providing high-quality support to patients, delivering specialist clinical work as part of the multidisciplinary team with the voice outpatient settings. In this role you will be required to: Evaluate patients to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Develop treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs in order to improve speech, language, and communication skills. Implement techniques to enhance articulation, fluency, voice quality, and language comprehension and expression. Work with patients experiencing dysphagia to improve their ability to safely swallow food and liquids. What you’ll need: Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent. Licence to Practice. Registered with HCPC. Dysphagia post-graduate training and at least 2 years post-graduate experience of working with dysphagia. The successful candidate will need to be competent and confident in preparing and using electronic information. The post holder needs to have up-to-date IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word. A knowledge and/or experience of using RIO patient-held record system would be of benefit. Car for community work. In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of: Relevant Qualifications Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
