Who we are AgResearch is one of seven Crown Research Institutes in Aotearoa New Zealand. We are responsible for delivering innovative science and research outcomes for the agricultural sector. Our purpose is to deliver research to enhance the value, productivity, and profitability of New Zealand’s pastoral, agri-food, and agri-technology sector value chains to contribute to economic growth and beneficial environmental and social outcomes for New Zealand. We are committed to mātauranga Māori along with Western science and existing structures, which have helped support positive change in farming practices and food production in Aotearoa. What you’ll do We're on the hunt for a graphic designer to join our dynamic, multi-talented team to cover (up to) 66 weeks of parental leave starting 10 March 2025. If you’re a visual storyteller with at least 3 years’ experience crafting designs that wow, we want to hear from you. Bonus points if you’ve got some extra tricks up your sleeve like video editing, photography, and social media magic (you don’t have to do it all, but we’re impressed if you can). As key support to our senior graphic designer, you’ll be joining a team where we like to play to people’s strengths, but you can expect to: Work on a mix of projects both independently and collaboratively. The strategies are set; you’ll help bring them to life. Translate science and other complex information into compelling visuals to use across channels (website, social media, corporate reporting, presentations, publications, and other collateral). Contribute to the design and delivery of corporate reporting documents, brochureware, and other collateral. Design and deliver our stakeholder newsletter. Develop and deliver social media content, campaigns, and targeted, paid social media advertising. Measure, reflect and adapt to ensure strong return on investment. What we’re looking for A visual storyteller looking for the opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven organisation as part of a high-performing team during a time of transformational change. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a graphic designer. Examples that show off your design capability and versatility. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint. A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. Bonus skills: video editing, photography, and/or social media content creation.
