Senior Design Manager

Freelance Design Manager 12 months up to £450 a day PAYE umbrella Skilled Careers are currently recruiting for a Tier 1 contractor for a education project and looking for a skilled and experienced Freelance Design Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design, project management, and communication, able to balance creativity with timely execution. Responsibilities: Lead design projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality and alignment with client goals. Manage a team of designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and timelines. Ensure all designs are delivered on time, within scope, and meet high standards of quality. Review and approve design work, ensuring consistency across all materials. Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular updates. Handle multiple design projects simultaneously, managing priorities and resources efficiently. Requirements: Proven experience as a Design Manager or in a similar role. Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.). Solid understanding of design principles, branding, and UX/UI. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Preferred: Experience working in both digital and print design. Knowledge of design trends and industry best practices.
