This team offers a hybrid role; part strategy case work and part data-driven projects with top banks in the city. This is one of the top world brands in strategy, working with firms like Goldman, Barclays and JP Morgan. The team, currently 5 people, are the fastest growing area in the company and these roles offer significant visibility to senior stakeholders in major FS businesses. Over half the role will be strategy work with 20-30% on data and benchmarking assignments. Examples of recent strategy cases:
Investor strategy - tier 1 investment bank - looking at why a bank was trading on a low multiple relative to its peers; defining future strategy for the bank and how this is communicated to investors. ESG Reporting and Data - an analysis of ESG products and approach to ESG. Talent and Growth strategy - looking at how a bank could grow and increase productivity in the face of global challenges. We're looking for 3 exceptional individuals (2 more junior, 1 more senior) from 3 years to circa 6-7 years' experience. Requirements for these roles:
Background in either strategy consulting, benchmarking, data, research or a front office role in a bank. Sector experience in financial services, consulting or research at a suitable firm; knowledge of key terms and themes. Ability to interrogate data, evaluate it and extract insights for client queries. Excellent analytical, rational and problem-solving ability. Engaging presentation skills; ability to tell a story and run client meetings, dealing with challenging stakeholders in a professional manner at top financial institutions. Ability to manage multiple projects and cases; excellent time management ability. Entrepreneurial, creative and collaborative mind-set, demonstrating ownership and initiative. Excellent Excel and PowerPoint ability including pivots and detailed datasets. Good knowledge of how a bank works; different divisions, products and services.
