Corrigenda are looking for a pro-active Gas Safe Qualified Technical Service Manager, who will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of Gas and Mechanical works across a number of maintenance contracts for the business. This role will predominantly be operating from our office in Segensworth but will require travel to our offices across the South. Job Summary The role will be required to oversee a team of technical supervisors and engineers responsible for the safe and effective delivery of gas and mechanical services across the group’s portfolio. Key Responsibilities Include (but not limited to): Operational Ensure that accurate cost estimates and quotations are provided in a timely fashion. Ensure that all work delivered by the team is completed on time, within budget, and to a safe and satisfactory standard. Work closely with other managers throughout the business to ensure high client satisfaction levels are maintained. Manage labour and resource allocation and planning for reactive works ensuring SLAs are achieved. Undertake Supplier reviews, assist with the management and set up of new suppliers as required. Attend supplier meetings, operational site meetings and client meetings as required. Undertake supplier inductions. Review performance against SLA’s and KPI’s for discipline. Undertake tools and equipment asset auditing. As required to provide site assistance / site set ups. Order materials and request purchase orders. Health and Safety Provide H&S leadership and compliance on all works. Attend internal and external H&S meetings. Support H&S training and toolbox talks for staff. Undertake accreditation audits. Carry out site visits to check on safety compliance on site and ensure any corrective action is taken. Log near miss reports and undertake accident investigations. Ensure risk / method statements are produced and are suitable and sufficient for tasks minimising risks to engineers and end users. People Undertake review meetings with direct reports and agree development areas and objectives. Responsible for HR matters across the Technical Service area, and supporting any direct reports to manage their teams. Identify potential areas for training to enhance capability. Provide coaching and be a role model to the team. Promote the company culture and ensure motivation of staff. Ensure effective & efficient control of resource across the team. Oversee and support the recruitment process for new engineers, in conjunction with the HR Team. Oversee and take an active role in new joiner’s inductions. Manage HR processes for the team such as holiday approvals, return to works, leavers process as well as any employee relations issues. Oversee purchase invoicing and manage any approvals and queries. Oversee profitability of jobs undertaken to ensure Gross Profit targets are achieved. Manage operational WIP – including open jobs not ready for invoicing. Process timesheet approvals and checks. Manage the team’s expenses. Ensure purchase orders are raised in accordance with company policy. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Gas safe qualifications with a working knowledge and experience of the industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in CDM and health & safety with the ability to create site specific RAMs. The ability to satisfy enhanced DBS checks that will be required for this role. Ability to prioritise and work under pressure. Resilient and resourceful. Personable, proactive, and able to build rapport at all levels. Able to offer solutions to problems that have been identified. Sound knowledge of FM hard service delivery and customer satisfaction. Commercial and financial awareness of Planned and reactive service contracts. Good understanding of HR processes and procedures. A full UK driving licence.
