Tech Returners - Senior Business Analyst

Senior Business Analyst - Salary £45,000 to £60,000

Are you ready to return to work after a career break? Do you have a passion for transformation? Do you like to challenge the status quo, think differently and look at ways technology can solve business problems? Then the Aviva Tech & Change Delivery Returner Programme could be just what you're looking for.

The Programme is now in its fourth year and is for those who've had an extended career break of two or more years, as of January 2025. This is a tailored six-month programme, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role.

We are currently recruiting for Senior Business Analysts to be a part of our team! At Aviva, we love to constantly innovate and improve the experience and security for our customers. We have brought together our technology change agents into 3 hubs to drive deliveries and outcomes, which means that you can work on projects and programmes across the business.

A bit about the Programme: Aviva is offering a paid six-month returner programme starting Tuesday 13th May 2025, with the expectation of a permanent role at the end. Our Business Analysis roles will be offered at Aviva's Bristol, Norwich or York offices. Aviva flexes hours and working patterns to suit its customers, business, and you. The likelihood is you'll balance time in the office (minimum 50%) with working from home each week. We call this Smart Working, combining the benefits of flexibility with time together with colleagues. Therefore, you'll need to be willing to relocate if you don't currently live within reasonable commuting distance of the relevant office for the role you are applying for. Your journey on the programme starts with easing you in on your first day - getting your IT Kit and meeting your Leader and Buddy. This is followed by a Programme Induction where you'll meet the Programme Leads and the other returners joining. During this time, you'll find out more about Aviva, the Tech & Change Delivery Returner Programme and you'll join your first of four Career Returners Coaching Workshops. You'll then join your team where you'll collaborate with lots of forward-thinking people - working alongside, sharing ideas with, and learning from the best in the business. Throughout the Programme, you'll have a great internal and external support to help you to transition successfully back into the workplace, including a Leader, Mentor and Buddy and specialised returner coaching. You'll also enjoy the support of your peers and the Programme Leads on the returner programme and from previous cohorts. A bit about the job:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll work collaboratively with key stakeholders across Technology and the business to ensure delivery of quality business solutions that address our business and customer needs. You'll ensure key business goals are understood and requirements documented. And you'll be involved in shaping/pre-inception work and assessing the initial impact of new initiatives/projects through to development, testing and successful implementation.

Delivering for our 19.6 million customers is critical, so considering their needs and being prepared to challenge decisions that are not in their best interests in central to this role. You'll need to understand other change initiatives, recognise dependencies, and determine if business benefits can be realised through change synergies.

If you are motivated by making a difference, enjoy a variety of assignments, are keen to develop and have strong relationship building mindset, this could be the role for you! Skills and experience we're looking for: Able to communicate with and influence business stakeholders whilst facilitating change. Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills. The ability to work at pace with resiliency on medium to large scale change projects. Enjoy thinking outside of the box, driving innovation in the way in which we deliver change and outcomes. Knowledge of and experience of change management processes including business analysis tools and techniques along with a willingness to try new ways of working. What you'll get for this role: Starting salary between £45,000 and £60,000 depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications. Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's. Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in. 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days. Family friendly and flexible benefits to suit you. Make your money go further - up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts. Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through our Matching Share Plan and share in the success of Aviva with our Save As You Earn scheme. Brilliantly supportive policies including parental and carer's leave. Make a difference, be part of our Aviva Communities and use your 3 paid volunteering days to help others. We take your wellbeing seriously with lots of support and tools. Aviva is for everyone:
