Hybrid working to include: regular set and production office visits during prep shoot and post-production, at least two days a week in either the White City or Media City office and supplemented by working from home. The role The Access Coordinator will bring direct lived experience of disability, coupled with production know-how, to work as a bridge between all ITVS productions and anyone with Access Requirements, prioritising Deaf, Disabled and/or neurodivergent people, and anyone with long-term health conditions. The Access Coordinator will ensure that requirements are met respectfully and effectively, ensuring that all crew and cast can carry out the job they have been hired to do without barriers. Under the Equalities Act 2010 there is no obligation for an employee to divulge their access requirements, however, the Access Coordinator will be proactive in encouraging disclosure, and assist in accommodating and removing any barriers so all productions are safe and inclusive workplaces. Skills you’ll need

(minimum criteria) You have experience as an Access Coordinator in TV or a similar role helping Disabled people in the creative industries. Or, you’ve completed training in Disability Access or Access Coordination for TV production. You have worked with Deaf, Disabled, and neurodivergent creatives. You understand how to provide access for a wide range of Deaf, Disabled, and neurodivergent people, with examples of real solutions you’ve used to remove access barriers. You’re passionate about television and screen content. You understand access and disability from a rights-based perspective, including the social model of disability. You’re highly organised and can handle multiple tasks at the same time. You’re a strong communicator and work well with different teams and people, both inside and outside the organisation. Other things we’re looking for

(key criteria) You understand and value Disability culture and Deaf culture. You know about networks that support access needs, like organisations offering accessible vehicles, ramps, honey-wagons, captioners, BSL interpreters, lip speakers, and support workers. You understand schemes like Access to Work and Employment Support Allowance, especially for freelancers or self-employed people. You know what production companies need to do legally to support Deaf, Disabled, and Neurodivergent staff under the Equality Act 11 (2010). You’ve worked in TV production before. You’re confident using IT, including Google programmes, and can quickly learn new administrative systems. You’re proactive and self-motivated, solving problems and making decisions when needed. You’re committed to championing representation and inclusion, and you work well with people from all backgrounds. You’re passionate about creating amazing experiences for Deaf, Disabled, and Neurodivergent crew, cast, and audiences. You have experience in an advocacy role. You’re flexible and eager to learn on the job, shaping the role to fit the company’s goals. ITV is for everyone.
