About the Role: We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join a well-established team in Uxbridge, UK. In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth across the region. Responsibilities: Develop and execute a strategic business development plan for the Southern region, focusing on new business acquisition and market share growth. Identify and qualify new business leads through proactive prospecting, networking, and attending industry events. Build strong relationships with potential and existing customers, understanding their unique needs and proposing customized logistics solutions. Negotiate and close freight forwarding contracts, ensuring profitability and exceeding customer expectations. Manage and develop existing customer relationships, fostering long-term partnerships and maximizing revenue opportunities. Collaborate closely with internal teams (operations, customer service, etc.) to ensure seamless execution of freight movements. Prepare compelling proposals and presentations that showcase our company's expertise and value proposition. Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets, contributing to the overall growth. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and competitor activity, adapting strategies as needed. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in a business development role within the logistics or freight forwarding industry. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving business growth. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of international trade processes and freight forwarding operations (air, ocean, road). Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). A self-starter with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment is a plus. Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus. Seniority level
