Mechanical Contracts Manager - Permanent Birmingham - circa £75,000 - £80,000

AndersElite are recruiting for a Mechanical Contracts Manager for a national building services contractor based out of their Midlands office near Birmingham.

This is a permanent position (available February 2025 onwards) and will offer a salary, depending on experience, of approximately £75,000 - 80,000 per annum plus company benefits.

Our client develops and delivers a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe. They also offer turnkey design, build, and operational solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating plant schemes. They are now one of the leading manufacturers in the delivery of De-Carbonisation projects.

Reporting into the regional Director, the selected candidate will be required to manage Mechanical services site teams on new build and refurbishment projects, usually in the commercial and industrial project sectors with a focus on de-carbonisation schemes.

Typical projects will range from £1m up to £10m in building services value, so applicants should have proven experience as the overall mechanical lead on projects of this size in relevant building environments.

Applicants must be prepared to travel nationwide for site meetings and to manage project teams at close quarters when required. The usual place of work will be in the regional office in Birmingham usually 3 days per week.

The Mechanical Contracts Manager will be commercially responsible for the running of allocated projects from inception through to completion, supporting design and project planning and managing the site installation team to deliver the project. The selected candidate will also contribute towards the final account performance working alongside the senior management team.

This position is available from February 2025, with applications welcome from candidates who are either immediately available or serving a notice period with their current employer.

This position offers a competitive salary largely dependent on experience, with an expected basic salary range of circa £75,000 - 80,000 per year plus additional company benefits.

These benefits include full in-house training and career development path, competitive pension scheme, life assurance scheme, free annual health check during working hours, 30 days annual leave increasing in line with length of service, and company social events.

It is advantageous for candidates to possess a degree / HNC in Building Services or any other technical qualifications, including SMSTS / CSCS for site management, although all applicants will be judged primarily on their previous experience.
