Gas Engineer Supervisor
Due to expansion, we are looking for an experienced and highly skilled mobile Senior Service Gas Engineer/Supervisor to join our team.
This role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing gas appliances and heating systems across commercial and domestic properties.
As a key member of the team, you will also provide technical support, lead projects, supervise engineers, and ensure high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
Paid door-to-door with 30 minutes a day deducted for travel.
Call out rota:
currently 1 week in every 6-8 weeks. Call out is paid at £100 for the week’s cover, calculated as £10 per day Monday - Friday and £25 per day Saturday and Sunday. If you get a call out, it is paid at £40 for the first hour and then time and a half for every hour after.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend reactive breakdowns to diagnose faults and provide efficient repairs to gas appliances and heating systems. Carry out servicing, safety checks, and general maintenance to ensure systems comply with gas/oil safety regulations. Provide technical support to engineers and office staff, lead toolbox talks, and assist with training and inductions. Conduct site inspections, post-work evaluations, tool audits, and van audits to maintain high standards. Keep clients and tenants informed about work progress and provide solutions for any unresolved issues. Ensure all work complies with current safety standards and company policies. Source materials with a cost-effective and value-driven approach. Identify and quote for additional works as required.
Essential Skills & Experience: Extensive experience as a lead engineer/supervisor in the gas and heating sector. Recognised gas qualifications and ACS Commercial Gas Certificates (CCN1, CENWAT, CDGA1, TPCP1, etc.). Strong experience in servicing, fault-finding, and repairs within commercial settings. Ability to use test equipment, including electrical multi-meters. Ability to pass a DBS check. Full UK driving licence.
