When a graduate starts with us we pair them with an experienced engineer who will guide and mentor them through their initial period working on live projects. Training is arranged on our software engineering tools such as wireless coverage modelling and Revit to ensure all our engineers have a full set of design skills. Early work with us will typically involve: Assisting in developing technical designs of systems including: Structured Cabling Systems Active LAN and Telephony WiredScore compliance and scoring Wireless Network Modelling Audio Visual Designs Attending meetings and workshops with other design professionals such as architects, mechanical and electrical engineers and other key stakeholders Inspecting and monitoring installations, then formalising reports in written format As you develop you will be expected to take on more responsibility in managing projects from inception through to completion. As a small close-knit team, all team members work on whatever projects are happening at any one time. As such, you will be expected to be a flexible individual, capable of working both within a team and individually. Integrating into this team from Day-1 is paramount to your success in the role, so a pragmatic approach to work is very important. Examples of the type of projects the IT&C team are involved in include: Athena Fulfilment and Sortation Centres Programme - The IT Infrastructure design and installation governance for an ongoing programme of projects across the UK and Europe. The design of the IT infrastructure requires detailed co-ordination and collaboration with several key stakeholders both within Athena and their design partners to ensure the IT infrastructure is designed taking due cognisance of the equipment and operations within the building. The IT infrastructure supports the connectivity of critical operational systems such as wireless, CCTV, robotics and material handling systems. Shetland Space Centre - Telecoms lead designer duties on new rock launch facility on Unst. Support the client's technology requirements whilst providing expertise on telecoms, fibre infrastructure, Active LAN technologies, security and telemetry. Our role requires IT design connectivity integration across multiple systems for IT, landlord and tenant operations to support rocket launches. Collaboration with multiple stakeholders and design team members is key to delivering to the client's desires and expectations. Gillette Factory TV Studios - Telecoms lead designer duties on redevelopment of the Gillette factory in London, providing telecoms infrastructure for six television studios, office environment with breakout space and car park. Minimum Requirements: An accredited Bachelor degree (min 2:1 or equivalent) in Building / Architectural Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Computing and Information Technology with honours. CompTia Network+, Cisco CCNA or Cisco CWNA would be advantageous. AutoCAD and/or Revit would be advantageous. Relevant Industry related work experience would be advantageous. Work with Us.
