CTO / Chief Technology Officer – Hands-on, Product-Focused Leader Office based - London We’re helping a fast-growing fintech start-up hire a hands-on, product-minded CTO to shape their technical vision and drive innovation. If you’re a builder at heart, love shipping high-quality code, and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments, this could be the perfect role for you. About the Company Currently a payment collector, evolving into a fully automated financial operating system that integrates with ERPs. Disrupting a £15 trillion industry. Scaling rapidly—targeting £10M ARR in 24 months and expansion into the US market. An ambitious team with big plans—this is a rare opportunity to help define the future of the company. What You’ll Be Doing Hands-on coding – this is NOT a hands-off leadership role. Steering the technical vision and defining the roadmap. Building a high-performing engineering team as they scale. Refactoring and evolving the tech stack (currently .NET, but would like someone who can shape the future of the platform, which may be in a different language). Working directly with customers, designers, and leadership to shape and launch new products. Bringing automation & AI into the platform to drive efficiency. What We’re Looking For Strong engineering background

– you’re still hands-on and love to build, must have a strong grounding in C# .Net. Product mindset

– you care about delivering real impact for users. Leadership experience

– you’ve played a key role in a scaling startup. Startup DNA

– you thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and love solving hard problems. Broad technical expertise

– comfortable across different back-end languages. Why Join? Genuine impact

– you’ll shape both the tech and product strategy. Equity on the table

– generous equity available. Competitive salary

– £120-130K. This role is not for everyone—if you’re looking for a cushy 9-5, this won’t be the right fit. But if you want to build something massive, get stuck into the code, and lead from the front, we’d love to hear from you. Please apply directly to this advert with an updated CV to be considered.
