As Compliance Manager, you will support the firm’s Compliance function in developing and maintaining effective systems, controls, policies, and training programmes to ensure regulatory compliance. You’ll conduct risk reviews, propose improvements, and provide advice on a wide range of compliance matters. You’ll also act as a key contact for interactions with regulatory bodies, helping the firm navigate complex investigations, enquiries, and client complaints. Key Responsibilities Provide advice on risk and compliance matters and recommend improvements to risk management. Conduct audits and assessments to identify and address compliance risks. Develop and maintain compliance policies and frameworks in line with best practices. Monitor regulatory updates to ensure the firm stays ahead of standards. Deliver compliance training to attorneys and staff. Investigate breaches and client complaints, ensuring appropriate actions are taken. Maintain a centralised system for reporting and managing compliance breaches. Who This Role Would Suit This role is ideal for a compliance professional with law firm experience and at least six years in the field. Management expertise is an advantage.

The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of SRA Standards and Regulations, AML rules, GDPR, and KYC processes, along with excellent organisational and communication skills to influence stakeholders effectively.

They will demonstrate the ability to balance commercial and compliance risks, handle confidential matters with discretion, and build strong relationships across the firm.
