The role We're seeking a Data Scientist to join the ITV Insight Group. As a Data Scientist in The Insights Group, you will have the opportunity to support our various insight domains (e.g., Marketing insights, Content insights), working on a broad range of data science projects. As part of our Data Science team, you will partner with business leaders and key stakeholders to understand their challenges and identify and answer the "big questions", working with Data Analysts & Insight Managers to innovate, inform and impact decision-making. You will sharpen your technical skills to create outcome-focused insight while thinking critically and collaboratively to build relationships and create recommendations that balance the requirements of your clients with ITV's wider strategic objectives. As a Data Scientist, you are responsible for delivering Machine Learning (ML) products for your stakeholders, aligned with a cross-functional team and the wider department. Responsibilities: Translating business problems into machine learning solutions Researching, designing & training machine learning solutions for your stakeholders Creating Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for your stakeholders and productionising successful PoCs on our cloud data platform Optimising and maintaining existing solutions to improve performance metrics and increase business impact (e.g., Churn & Upsell propensity models) Being curious and innovative in the utilisation of our data Implementing software development best practices for ML products (Git, unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, MLFlow) Implementing best practice ML model monitoring solutions to ensure your stakeholders receive the highest quality results from their ML products Cross-functional collaboration with data analysts, insight managers, data engineers & data platform engineers. (minimum criteria) 1+ years professional experience as a data scientist Experience designing and developing ML solutions to solve business problems Advanced Python proficiency with experience of key python modules e.g., numpy, pandas, sklearn Functional SQL proficiency with the ability to efficiently query relevant data sources (e.g., BigQuery) Experience writing production-grade python code (e.g., modular code, dependency management, CI/CD, unit testing, Git/version control) Experience with Pyspark and the spark ecosystem Ability to scope ML product requirements with stakeholders and propose a solution In-depth knowledge of key statistical concepts (e.g., hypothesis testing, probability distributions) Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience presenting to stakeholders; the ability to tell a compelling story through data and explain complex ML concepts to a broad audience Other things we're looking for

Experience productionising ML models on a cloud platform e.g. AWS or GCP Experience working in a cross-functional environment Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., tensorflow, keras) Passion for learning new skills and staying up-to-date with advances in ML algorithms and Generative AI ITV is for everyone.
