Our acute care team consists of a strong nursing and clinical ethos around patient-centered care, safety, and teamwork.
The Acute Care Unit is the admission unit for the trust.
You will be placed on a supportive and structured education and training pathway, centered around reflective supervision, clinical skills, and leadership.
We also welcome experienced nurses from a community or nursing home background that are wishing to return to acute care.
*Please note - this vacancy is not suitable for Overseas Registered Nurses required to take the OSCE exam.
Main duties of the job You will be required to practice within a team of nursing staff and act as a 'named nurse'. Your duties will include assessing, planning, and evaluating patient needs.

Mentoring from a senior nurse, Band 8a and above across the organisation to discuss your career at regular intervals. Workbook that offers supportive competencies, direction, and support. Education and development to enhance your clinical skills in venepuncture, cannulation, and advanced assessment. Opportunity to apply for a fully-funded postgraduate training, including specialisation in your clinical area. Flexible working contracts and support for part-time hours if required.
