Exciting Opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon in Sussex An exciting opportunity is available for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a great independent team based in Sussex, where you can build lasting relationships with clients in a supportive and progressive environment. About the Role This is an ideal position for an experienced GP vet who enjoys general practice but also has access to a nearby 24-hour hospital with a team of experienced specialists in Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue Surgery, Imaging, Ophthalmology, Neurology, and more. If you’re interested in pursuing a Certificate or further study, the practice is happy to support this. Work-Life Balance Work-life balance is a priority, and the practice offers a 4-day week with a 1:4 weekend rota (with time off in lieu). Located just 20 minutes from London Gatwick Airport, you’ll have the freedom to explore the beautiful Surrey Hills or even take a short trip to Europe! State-of-the-Art Facilities The practice has recently launched a new 24-hour service and is undergoing renovations to include an on-site CT scanner, new cat ward, consult rooms, a large prep area, isolation units, separate dog kennels, a new theatre, an x-ray room, and an in-house lab. Supportive and Experienced Team The current vet team is exceptional, with the Lead Vet being an Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in regenerative medicine. The team boasts a wide range of specialisms, including Dentistry, Medicine, Imaging, Cytology, Endoscopy, Soft Tissue Surgery, Dermatology, and more. The RVN and support teams are experienced and integral to the smooth running of the practice. Who They’re Looking For For this role, they are looking for a strong GP vet with at least 3 years of experience, someone who is confident working both in a sole charge capacity and as part of a team.
