The Deputy Nursery Manager will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the provision of an exceptional standard of care and education, fully aligned with the EYFS framework. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day operations and taking full management responsibility in their absence. Leading and mentoring a team of childcare professionals, promoting best practices and professional development. Managing a nursery room, acting as a key worker, and tailoring activities to children's developmental needs. Fostering a warm, safe, and inclusive environment for children, families, and staff. Building strong relationships with parents and carers to encourage their involvement in their child's learning journey. Overseeing administrative tasks such as maintaining registers, newsletters, and daily paperwork. Our client, a well-established nursery, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled childcare professional to play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and education within a supportive and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will have a passion for early years education and the skills to inspire and lead a team. What we're looking for: A minimum Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent qualification. Previous experience within a leadership and managerial role within a Nursery setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and manage a team effectively. Comprehensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in administrative tasks, including Microsoft Office applications. A positive, adaptable, and self-motivated approach to work.
