Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity in the Hammersmith area? My client, one of the largest and most successful privately owned Tier 1 main contractors in the UK, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Construction division. Renowned for their commitment to client satisfaction and excellence, they deliver high-value commercial projects ranging from £20M to £100M.

The Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in managing project costs from initial estimates to final accounts. You'll work closely with project teams to ensure financial targets are met, risks are managed, and compliance standards are maintained. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on accountability, enjoys leading financial management strategies, and values building lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the financial management of projects, ensuring cost control and accurate forecasting. Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and valuations. Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate financial risks. Oversee procurement, including negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers. Provide financial reporting and updates to senior management. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies. Mentor and support junior team members.

Requirements:

Experience: Proven track record of 5+ years as a Quantity Surveyor, with a Tier 1 Main Contractor. Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of quantity surveying principles, contract administration, and commercial management. Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and inspire a team. Communication: Strong skills in building relationships and managing stakeholders. Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accuracy in cost reporting and risk management. Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
