Our client, a respected name in the FMCG/Food Manufacturing sector, is looking for a motivated and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team near Banbury. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a company that values technical expertise and offers opportunities for growth.

The Role As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility will be ensuring the efficiency and reliability of production machinery. You'll play a key role in maintaining smooth operations through both preventative and reactive maintenance. Your tasks will include: Carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and resolving technical faults to minimise downtime. Responding swiftly to machinery breakdowns to ensure minimal disruption to production. Supporting the production team with technical issues and troubleshooting as required. Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance and operational efficiency. Ensuring the work environment remains safe, clean, and compliant with health and safety standards.

What You'll Need The ideal candidate will have: A solid background in a food, FMCG, packaging, or manufacturing environment (other industries will also be considered). Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, HNC, HND, BTEC, or City & Guilds in a related engineering field. Strong experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance, with a multi-skilled approach being highly advantageous. A proactive and hands-on attitude with excellent problem-solving abilities. A flexible approach to working, thriving both independently and as part of a team.
