What will you be doing?
The Desktop Support role’s main objective is to provide the end users support and desktops for all desktop support fleet. The role includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment (including but not limited to PC, terminals, printers and scanners) to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via remote access) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance where required.
Job Responsibilities
Install, upgrade, support & troubleshoot all existing PCs operating systems and other authorized desktop application
Install, manage and troubleshoot printers, computer hardware and any other authorized peripheral equipment
Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment
Fully respect standards, installations, guidelines and policies
Support MS Office suite and Office 365 services
Requirements
Good knowledge of PCs HW & SW and their interaction with computers’ networks
Basic networking (TCP/IP) knowledge
Office suite (Outlook, Excel & Powerpoint)
Excellent computer skills including advanced usage of Microsoft
Local to the Bracknell office (within 20m drive of the office)
