Talent Wanderer is hiring an experienced Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) for a full-time role on behalf of a company based in Birmingham, UK. You will maintain all machinery and equipment across production and any associated equipment. You will support the optimisation and technical improvement of operations, keeping tight reins on maintenance standards and working on improvement projects with others. This role involves but is not limited to: Schedule machine surveys with contractors, in conjunction with department managers and engineering department managers. Ensure reports are received in a timely manner. Check surveys, utilising specialists where possible internally and externally. Make sound decisions on which work needs to be carried out. Plan work using the appropriate resources. Gain appropriate approval for labour and parts costs. Order parts according to schedule. Work as lead Engineer and schedule assistance where required. Continual learning and development for Engineering Scheduling requirements. Drive, manage and carry out the engineering aspect of the weekly machine maintenances. Assist with the day-to-day running of the engineering workshop. Supply engineering support as required. Support the engineering facilities function as required. Support the Engineering Team Leader and the Engineering Manager as required. Assist with projects as required. Take training courses as necessary for the fulfilment of the role. Requirements: Read Electrical & Mechanical Drawings. Excellent Mechanical & Electrical Skills. Experience working on pneumatics and Steam boilers preferred but not essential. Experience working on hydraulics. Able to carry out Electrical & Mechanical Fault Finding. Experience working on a range of Pumps. Experience working on Compressors.
