Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited (AML) is an advanced machining supplier focused on aerofoil and rotative components. We are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to delivering efficiency and reduced cycle times for our clients in the aerospace sector. Our advanced milling, turning and 5-axis capacity enables us to machine a wide range of products including bespoke ring, casing, gearbox, aerofoil and aerostructure components. To-Date, we have manufactured components for Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Siemens, Bombardier and are looking to expand out Machining capabilities over the coming year. The Position of Manufacturing Engineer NPI Create manufacturing methods. Design and development of work holding methods including technical drawings. Simulation of CNC programs using Vericut. Provide prove out support to shop floor for new processes. Interpretation of technical drawings. Produce technical production documentation, SOP’s, Tooling sheets, inspection sheets etc. Provide technical support and expertise to the production team. Understanding and knowledge of special processes, heat treatments and coatings. Understanding of measurement methods and techniques. Provide technical support to projects and commercial teams. Perform any other duties which may be reasonably associated with the job in order to meet the needs of the company. Person Spec for Manufacturing Engineer NPI Highly motivated individual. Excellent attention to detail. Degree/ Apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering or related field. Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience. Strong knowledge of CNC Machining. Experience with Siemens NX. Excellent communication skills. Ability to manage own time and workload effectively. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Experience with CAD/CAM. Aerospace or defence experience.
